2022 Kia Sportage in Corpus Christi, TX

The 2022 Kia Sportage was designed for adventure with a coupe-like profile and athletic stance to go along with two feisty engines. 

Kia adds several new features to the 2022 model with a fresh exterior and a whole host of standard driver-assistance features. The once optional Nightfall Edition now replaces the S trim level, while the base LX model adds the Value Edition package. 

The Sportage comes in four trims: The LX, Nightfall, EX, and SX Turbo.

The Nightfall trim adds a touch of darkness to the model with black roof rails, special black badging, fog lights with black surround, black front and rear bumper trim, side sills, and skid plates, and black satin window surrounds.

The Sportage comes with ample storage thanks to 60/40 split-folding seats and a dual-level cargo floor. 

Kia has powered the 2022 Sportage with two engines: the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, and the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder.

Interior Review of the 2022 Kia Sportage

The interior of the Sportage seats five with ample room. Rear legroom measures at about 38 inches. There is up to 60 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. The cabin is filled with features that mostly originate from the standard 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen system. The SX Turbo is home to an abundance of quality interior features, such as leather seat trim, ventilated front seats, and a power passenger seat. The Nightfall trim comes with a flat-bottom steering wheel, while the EX comes with heated front seats and a leather steering wheel and shift knob. 

Exterior Review of the 2022 Kia Sportage

The Sportage’s exterior continues to impress with a long wheelbase and taut roofline. The exterior begins to shine with the Nightfall trim, which adds touches of black throughout the body. The LX trim comes with 17-inch allow wheels that are upgraded to 18-alloy wheels for both the Nightfall and EX trims. The SC Turbo receives 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels. The Nightfall trim also receives a panoramic sunroof.

Performance of the 2022 Kia Sportage

Three of the four trims come with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 181 horsepower and 175-lb-ft of torque. The SX Turbo comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine the pumps out 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. All trims have quality handling.
