Kia Tasman: The Future of Pickup Trucks in Corpus Christi, TX

The Kia Tasman: A Bold New Frontier

For the first time in Kia history, a pickup truck has been added to the lineup. The 2026 Kia Tasman is the brand’s stunning and unique addition to the pickup truck category, showcasing the power and performance that truck drivers desire. There are three trim levels to choose from: Baseline, X-Line, and X-Pro. The Tasman offers its drivers a sophisticated cabin, high-tech infotainment and safety features, and powerful towing capabilities. This debut isn’t one to miss, so keep reading to learn more about the already-impressive Kia Tasman.

Powerful Performance

The body-on-frame Kia Tasman offers multiple powertrain options, an independent front suspension, and a leaf-sprung solid rear axle. The two engine choices are a gas-fed 2.5-liter engine that generates 277 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque and a diesel 2.2-liter mill that generates 207 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The gas engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic while the diesel is offered with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic with three pedals. The Baseline trim is the only one that offers rear-wheel drive, but it does offer the all-wheel drive that’s standard on the other two trims.

The Kia Tasman does not falter in its towing abilities, with a maximum towing capacity of 7,716 pounds. Rear-wheel drivers have a maximum payload of 2,635 pounds.

Its off-road features are not to be overlooked. The 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires allow you to tackle different terrains with ease, and the electronically locking rear differential and exclusive drive modes assist with outdoor adventures. The X-Pro trim has a 1.1-inch lift, providing 9.5 inches of ground clearance and allowing the Tasman to tackle up to 32 inches of water.

The Kia Tasman can be configured into a single cab on the base trim, with the X-Line and X-Pro featuring roomier crew cabs and six-foot cargo boxes. Integrated side steps into the rear bumper make climbing into the bed easier, so you can load and unload with better agility and efficiency.

Exterior Accessories

While rugged and handsome, the 2026 Tasman can be outfitted with different accessories for personalization or convenience. Some accessories offered are:

  • Beadlock-Style Wheels
  • Side Steps
  • Ladder Rack
  • Sport Bar
  • Canopy and Rack
  • Cargo Box
  • Tonneau Cover

You can also opt for chassis-cab configurations to prepare your Tasman for commercial or other duties.

Innovative Interior

The interior of the Tasman is symmetrical and appealing, the centerpiece being a large glass panel that contains a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Features included are Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, dual wireless charging pads, and an eight-speaker Harman/Kardon® stereo. A column-mounted gear selector has a mix of physical and capacitive buttons, all of which are easy to use for first-time Kia drivers. The center console cover folds out to create a makeshift table, but closed still allows for adequate storage space. Rear seats recline, so all passengers can be comfortable after a work commute or a long road trip. Approximately one cubic foot of storage space lies beneath the seats for extra storage.
