For the 2021 model year, there are five trim levels to choose from:

In the base LX trim, the K5 features an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth®*, and Android Auto, steering wheel-mounted controls, a USB port, a 4.2-inch driver information display, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. One trim up, the LXS trim tacks on a smart key with remote start, push-button start, an immobilizer, a folding rear-center armrest with cup holders, and a 60/40 split of the rear seats. In the middle of the trim range, the GT-Line trim offers two USB charging outlets in the rear console, a high-quality cloth upholstery with leatherette trim, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel.

The second-highest EX trim adds UVO link remote connectivity, SiriusXM radio, a USB charging outlet in the front center console, a wireless phone charger, LED interior lighting and map lighting, full leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, and wood accent trimming. Finally, the top GT trim rounds out the K5 sport bucket seats, a sport steering wheel, and special accent trimmings.

Additionally, all models of the K5 come with a suite of driver assistance features to help keep you safer on the roads.

From the moment you step inside the cabin of the 2021 Kia K5 you’ll notice just how luxurious this vehicle truly is. Kia took great care to use high quality materials throughout the trim levels, giving the cabin an upscale feel from the base trim up. Depending on the trim level, either an 8.0-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen sits atop the center stack and is angled towards the driver’s seat for ease of use while operating the vehicle. Smartphone connectivity is standard, and the upgraded 10.25-inch screen allows users to connect multiple Bluetooth®* devices at once.

There’s plenty of passenger space inside the spacious K5, which clocks in with over 40 inches of front headroom, 58 inches of front shoulder room, over 56 inches of front hip room, and 46 inches of legroom The rear dimensions are equally palatial, giving passengers the opportunity to truly get comfortable and relax in the K5’s supportive-yet-soft seats. Car seats can be safely secured with LATCH tethers in the rear row. There’s also plenty of space in the 16 cubic-feet trunk, enough for your daily go-tos and larger travel bags alike.

Power and Performance in the 2021 Kia K5

The base engine for the 2021 K5 is a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that ponies up 180 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is optional for the first time ever in the K5/Optima lineup. The GT trim levels up the power with a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and receive impressive fuel economy.
