Spend Spring Break With Cody Johnson And Friends!

Springtime is almost here, and you can greet the warmer days at a lively concert with one of Texas country’s rising stars. Cody Johnson will perform his Spring Break on the Coast show in March, so make your plans! For this concert, Johnson will be joined by Parker McCollum, Jon Wolfe, and Kolby Cooper.

When and Where

Johnson will play at the Concrete Street Amphitheater on Saturday, March 14. The show starts at 6 p.m. and should last until 9 p.m. The amphitheater’s address is 700 Concrete Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401.

Riding to the Top

The former bull rider may not be hanging on for dear life anymore, but his current occupation is certainly not dull. The Texas native has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame since he recorded his first album, 2006’s Black and White Label. Three years later, he assembled a whole new band and released Six Strings One Dream, his first professionally-produced effort. The album yielded three singles that topped the Texas music charts, and the young musician was already generating considerable buzz across the country music industry.

By 2011, Johnson had claimed a Texas Regional Music Award and left his day job to pursue his musical career. He was the first unsigned musician to play to a packed house at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and his latest album, Aint Nothin to It, broke the Country Airplay Top 40. Earlier this year, the singer surpassed one billion career streams of his music online. That number is impressive in and of itself, but it’s all the more astounding when you recall that Johnson has performed as an independent artist for much of his career.
