Summer is in full swing and before you know it, it will be time for fireworks. The Fourth of July usually kicks off fireworks season, but fireworks are always fun anytime in the summer. Catch a firework show at one of these local spots in Corpus Christi and enjoy all the fun that comes with summertime.

Cole Park

Cole Park is located on Ocean Drive in the heart of Corpus Christi. This park is a family-friendly spot that is sure to host a few hours of fun. Cole Park is a waterfront park with a large playground, amphitheater, ample green space for recreational fun and picnics, and lots of trails for the walker, runner, and bicycles. The park also features grills and free parking to make your fireworks festivities even better by making a day of it.

The Water’s Edge Park

The Water’s Edge is another fantastic park in Corpus Christi. The new 30-acre park is the first gated Dog Park Downtown for you and your furry friends to have a good time. Kids also love Water Edge for the new playground area, which is steps away from McGee Beach. Are you hungry? No problem. The Water’s Edge has a food truck court for you to enjoy a yummy snack.

North Bayfront Park

If you’re not looking to get sandy while watching fireworks, check out the North Bayfront Park in Corpus Christi. This park is perfect if you want to be on the water without being in the sand. There’s nothing like watching some fireworks with the bay as your background. The waterfront park is in the SEA District where kids can play in the interactive water fountains, including a shallow pool for cooling off. Some adults like to join in too. Other features include restrooms, rinse showers, a picnic area, and lots of shade.

North Beach

If you’re looking for a place to see fireworks, North Beach is a fantastic beach for some fun. It is one of America’s top five urban beaches because of its relaxing feel, souvenir shops, hotels, condos, and restaurants. North Beach features a mile of soft sand and concrete sidewalk for walking, cyclists, strollers, and roller skating. Pier 99 Restaurant is a great place to grab a bite before the fireworks and it’s pup-friendly with a “canine menu”. If you like the beach and local history, this is a great spot to watch fireworks.
