Look no further than The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve! It’s a great place for hiking, biking, or even learning. The preserve has an on-site learning center that is very interesting, and most kids love to visit. So, pack a lunch, grab some comfortable shoes, and embark on a family adventure to The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve.

About Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve

The preserve is a total of 162 Acres and encompasses a wide variety of ecosystems, wildlife, nature, and wetlands. Operated by the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department, the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve serves as a place to relax, learn, or explore the unknown in nature. All of these activities are what the preserve provides best for children and families. It is also a popular activity for many families to hike around the preserve or even bike some of the trails.

The Learning Center

The on-site learning center at Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve was created to build a community understanding of the importance of preserving natural resources and ecosystems. At the learning center, kids and families can witness wildlife demonstrations, explanations of the plants and animals around them, and visual demonstrations on how the ecosystems in a preserve operate. All of these things are important when it comes to nature education. Sure, kids learn about ecosystems and nature in school, but do they know how it works until they see it with their own eyes?
