Experience Underwater Wildlife At The Texas State Aquarium

The ocean seems unexplorable because of how vast and large it is. It is almost impossible to explore the entire ocean and all of its mysteries and sea creatures. Although, The Texas State Aquarium does quite the job of giving people an inside look at what creatures make up our oceans! At The Texas State Aquarium, you will not only get to experience underwater wildlife but you will feel as if you are a scuba diver, within arms reach of these animals, without the oxygen restriction.
Exhibits
The Texas State Aquarium holds so many exhibits that give visitors the opportunity to see sea creatures in their natural habitat. Some exhibits include The Coral Reef, which gives an immersive look at incredible ecosystems and the colorful fish that call them home. At the top level, you will witness the airborne acrobatics from Kai, Shadow, Liko, and Schooner during the twice-daily Dolphins presentations at Dolphin Bay. Lastly, at the Saving Sharks Exhibit, you learn how sharks need to be protected rather than feared, as they are crucial to maintaining a healthy ocean ecosystem.
Aquarium Animals
The Texas State Aquarium offers a wide variety of animals to see and experience. From tiny seahorses and fish, to sharks, dolphins and even some jungle animals, you will get the opportunity to see and learn about them all. Planet Or Plastic
One special thing about The Texas State Aquarium is that it does not only put animals on display for you to see it educates its visitors about how they can protect these animals everyday. The Planet or Plastic exhibit is put on by National Geographic itself. The fact that plastic has become so commonplace that it’s easy to ignore our dependence on it. The National Geographic “Planet or Plastic?” exhibition strives to change that by showcasing the global plastic waste crisis and highlighting innovators working to solve this urgent issue. The exhibition tells the story behind plastic from its invention just over a century ago to its current mass consumption through visual storytelling with multimedia elements including 70 profound images as well as powerful infographics and videos.
