The Texas Surf Museum of Corpus Christi, Texas is the only surf museum in the great state of Texas! Come hang! You can spend just an hour or an entire afternoon walking through the exhibits. Texas is mostly known for its oil barons and cowboys but there are thousands of passionate surfers just like in California and Hawaii!

About

Since its opening in 2005, the Texas Surf Museum’s mission has always been to enlighten, encourage, and educate! They want to enlighten the entire world with the unique surfing culture of the state of Texas. They want to encourage the fun, accessible, and physical lifestyle that comes with a love for surfing. They also want to educate everyone on proper conservation practices to protect and preserve the bays, beaches, and waterways of the Texas Gulf Coast!

Get Involved

The Texas Surf Museum is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Donations and money raised by the museum go directly towards operating expenses, outreach, fundraising events, and museum exhibits. You can join the museum as a member! They have three separate membership options where you can be rewarded with some extraordinary benefits offered at each level. You can choose to be a supporter for $25 annually, a friend for $50 annually, or a member of the Texas Surf Museum family for $100 annually.

The gift shop includes Texas Surf Museum tees and tanks, as well as merchandise for Pat Magee’s Surf Shop. This merchandise includes tees and tanks as well as hoodies, crewnecks, and long-sleeved t-shirts. You can also purchase Pat Magee visors and tote bags.

When and Where

Just like the waves, the Texas Surf Museum is always free! Located at 309A N Water Street Corpus Christi, Texas 75401, this museum is in beautiful downtown Corpus Christi. They are open Mondays through Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. You can call them at (361) 882-2364 or email them at [email protected]!
