For an exceptional date night or family night out, Snoopy’s Seafood Inn is great for either occasion. Snoopy’s can be considered old fashioned because of it’s long history, as it opened in 1980, it’s popularity on the islands, and commitment that the family puts into creating the old-fashioned waterside dining experience.

History of Snoopy’s

Ernie Butler, a commercial fisherman, founded Snoopy’s when the Redfish Wars declared that commercial fishing was no longer permitted. Time and time again, Ernie would get chased by the Game Warden, but he just wanted to fish. That is when he discovered Snoopy’s. Back then, Snoopy’s was just a small bait shop and a burger joint that happened to include a 600 foot pier that appealed to Ernie for fishing purposes. After several hours, lots of patience, and blood, sweat, and tears later, the pier became a seafood restaurant for locals and visitors to enjoy. Ernie and his wife to this day take pride in what Snoopy’s was and what it has become!
