Honor Military Heroes At The Coastal Bend Field of Honor

Thursday, November 11, is Veterans Day. What are you doing to celebrate and honor military men and women? Clear your calendar for the 1^st Annual Coastal Bend Field of Honor. This event will recognize living and deceased veterans, as well as active military members. For just $50, an American flag will fly in respect of military member of your choice, including both their name and service information. Over the course of three weeks, flags will fly high to recognize the sacrifices each veteran has made, similar to the Warriors Weekend Field of Honor event, where over 3,000 flags cover the field.

Fill the Field

The celebration ceremony is taking place at Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown, TX at 4:30 p.m., and the flags will be illuminated each night, through December 2. Be sure to purchase your flag by 7:00 p.m. on the day of the event or while supplies last. Help us light up over 14 acres with red, white, and blue!

Military VIP

Our very own Mike Shaw, owner of Mike Shaw Kia, is both a veteran and founder of Military VIP. Along with Nueces County, Military VIP is a proud host of this event. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Coastal Bend Non-Profit Veteran Organizations.

Turkeys For Troops

Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner, and what better way to appreciate a veteran than with a free turkey for Thanksgiving dinner? On Friday, November 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Mike Shaw Toyota will be gifting both active and retired military members a free turkey. Be sure to bring your military I.D. to the dealership. Available while supplies last.
